  1. 1. Drawing review

    Check key dimensions,
    tolerances and special
    requirements.

  2. 2. Material verification

    Confirm material type,
    condition and
    traceability records.

  3. 3. In-process checks

    Use suitable inspection
    methods during
    machining.

  4. 4. Final inspection

    Verify critical features
    and prepare inspection
    records.

Make quality visible.

We use appropriate measuring equipment and clear records
to confirm that parts meet your drawing requirements.

Agree the records you need.

We can prepare inspection documentation to match your
project and customer requirements.

  • Dimensional inspection plan

Define key dimensions, tolerances and inspection methods.

  • Material documentation

Provide material certificates and relevant traceability records.

  • Critical feature checks

Include detailed inspection of functional and safety-critical features.

Questions worth asking a supplier.

Use these questions when evaluating a machining partner. Clear answers help ensure a smooth and reliable project.

Which features are critical to function?

Identify mating surfaces, fits, datums and any safety-critical dimensions on the drawing. Agree which features require a specific inspection method or record before production.

What inspection method will be used?

Match the method to the feature, tolerance and access needed. Confirm the measuring equipment, sampling plan and any first-article requirements in the quotation.

Which documents are required?

Specify dimensional reports, material certificates, traceability records or other documentation when requesting a quote. Availability and scope should be confirmed for your project.

How will deviations be handled?

Agree how a potential nonconformance will be recorded and communicated, who can approve a concession, and when replacement or rework is required.

Share your quality requirements with your drawing.

We’ll review your project and discuss the appropriate process, inspection plan and documentation.
